Robot standardisation activities (ISO/TC 299)

The very dynamism of the Robotics sector means that technical standardisation plays a significant role within it; new possibilities and technological developments in robotics need to be reflected in the relevant standards.
Our current robot standardisation activities within ISO/TC 299 (until 31 Dec 2015 ISO/TC184/SC2) predominantly focus on safety aspects.
VDMA Specification "Energy performance for industrial robots“ – now available in English language
For the international robotics standardisation activities a separate Technical Committee (ISO/TC 299 "Robotics") was established on 1 January 2016.
